Six Cats Under Goldfish Puzzle - Feed the Fish and Fill the Pan

The goldfish is the hinge of the whole run: nothing Frederick-related happens until this fish is frying in the pan. Three gates stand between you and that smell — unlock the food, feed at the right moment, then heat the stove.

How do you unlock the fish food?

The fish-food bag on the kitchen counter starts locked. Click the heart ornament hanging from the ceiling — it falls, hits the bag and the food becomes clickable.

That only makes the food available. Whether feeding works right now depends on where Geoffrey is standing, which is the question that trips up most players.

Why will not the goldfish drop into the pan?

Because Geoffrey has to be beside the fish tank when you feed him — he reacts to the food, and his reaction is what sends the goldfish from the tank into the pan on the stove. If he is still wandering the living room, the stove does nothing.

What is the full chain in order?

1. Do the sink puzzle so Geoffrey climbs onto the counter beside the tank (see the sink puzzle solution for the exact five clicks).
2. Click the heart ornament to unlock the fish food.
3. Click the fish food while Geoffrey stands beside the tank.

4. Open the stove and heat the pan — the goldfish drops in and the smell starts spreading through the kitchen.

The smell itself does not wake anybody yet: it is bait for the cat on top of the fridge. This whole chain sits at steps 6 and 7 of the full walkthrough, and the stove must be opened before you open the front door.
