Six Cats Under Frederick Puzzle - Wake the Cat on the Fridge

The door can already be open and the game still is not over, because one cat refuses to move: Frederick, asleep on top of the fridge. He does not respond to clicks, lures or noise — only the smell of fried fish, delivered by fan.

How do you get Frederick off the fridge?

You need two things in place: a frying pan with a fish in it, and the shelf fan pointed at the top of the fridge. The pan comes from the goldfish chain; the fan is the same one you used to dig the TV remote out of the sofa.

1. Open the stove and heat the pan — the goldfish drops in, fries, and the smell starts spreading through the kitchen.

2. Adjust the shelf fan so it aims at the top of the fridge, then switch it on — the breeze carries the smell upward.

3. Frederick smells it, jumps down from the fridge, and with him in the group all six cats walk out the front door — the run ends.

Why does clicking Frederick do nothing?

Because he is only scripted to react to one stimulus: the fried-fish smell reaching the top of the fridge. Every other interaction in the apartment — the clock, the toilet, the mouse toy — moves other cats. If the fan is running but nothing happens, the pan has not been heated yet: go back and open the stove.

Where do I find that fan again?

Wherever you left it after the TV remote step — many players leave it in the living room pointed at the houseplant. It never disappears; you only re-aim it. This closing chain is step 7 of the walkthrough, and it is the last thing between you and a finished run — the only earlier stall point is the sink puzzle.
